Neuroradiology is an integral part of the diagnostic evaluation and collaborates with all OHSU clinical and medical teams including but not limited to neurosurgery, interventional neuroradiology, ENT surgery, orthopedic surgery, and vascular surgery. We are located on the 10th floor of the main hospital. Meet the Neuroradiologist Team.

Neuroradiologists interpret x-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans and magnetic resonance images (MRI) of the brain, spine and spinal cord, face and neck and peripheral nerves in addition to doing other exams and studies. Robert Redlich M.D, Neuroradiology, CAQ Neuroradiologist CAQ United States 236 connections The candidate must sit before Robert Peyster MD, CAQ, Neuroradiology and review 60 MRI sequences (over 2500 images) and identify disc bulges, circumferential, radial and transverse fissues, varices, and herniations inclusive of the following types; protrusion, extrusions (sequestered and migrated/comminuted extrusions). The Division of Neuroradiology in the Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has a long history of leadership and innovation in diagnostic imaging of the neurologic system, using the first MRI in Ohio (one of the first ten in the United States) and the first ultra-high-field (8 Tesla) MRI system in the world. In Chicago, the CAQ/MOC examinations are administered in a center belonging to the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. The candidates, or “diplomates,” as the ABR prefers to call them, line up in the hallway outside of the computer test center room well before the appointed starting time of 7:30 am for the morning session. Neuroradiology fellows with interest in following an academic career or in developing special areas of expertise in vascular neuroradiology, neuro-imaging, pediatric neuroradiology or other subspecialty areas within neuroradiology will have the opportunity to enhance their expertise by performing an additional year as an Instructor in Neuroradiology.
